Robert Gilbert

With decades of experience in various facets of media, namely in broadcast radio, Robert had radio in his veins. A keen football fan, Robert has covered the world game for many of Macquarie’s stations, including 3AW in Melbourne, where he can be found daily driving the number-one rating station’s media sales.

With a keen passion for the game, Robert sits in the host’s chair for Box2Box, shaping the tone of exciting new program.

Michael Edgley

A career in sports administration sees Michael bring a unique outlook to the Box2Box team. Having held senior commercial positions in organisations as varied as the Geelong Football Club and Cycling Australia, Michael brings a breath of understanding of what makes elite sport tick on and off the field.

Despite a varied sporting industry CV, it’s football that is Michael’s first love, dating back to his days watching his beloved Heidelberg Alexander in the NSL.

Mark van Aken

Mark’s formal football journey began in 2004 as Media Manager with South Melbourne FC before a move to Football Federation Victoria working in the peak body’s media and marketing team.

Mark cut his teeth working as matchday reporter for SEN’s Hyundai A-League coverage in seasons two and three and has covered the 2010 & 2014 FIFA World Cups for the Australian Radio Network and Metro UK respectively.

As a former editor of Australia’s first national football magazine, Soccer International, Mark has a deep knowledge and passion for the game.
